ECB confirm Test Match at Emirates Old Trafford cancelled
Following ongoing conversations with the BCCI, the ECB can confirm that the fifth Test between England and India Men due to start today at Emirates Old Trafford, will be cancelled.
Due to fears of a further increase in the number of COVID cases inside the camp, India are regrettably unable to field a team.
We send our sincere apologies to fans and partners for this news, which we know will cause immense disappointment and inconvenience to many.
Further information will be shared in due course.
Hospitality guests that have booked tickets for today are welcome to join us in the hospitality areas, which are open until 2pm.
Information for ticket/hospitality holders
All ticket and hospitality buyers (including hotel guests) that have purchased tickets for the Fifth and final Test Match will be automatically refunded the full face value of their tickets or hospitality package only, to the original credit or debit card used to purchase the tickets. This may take up to 20 working days to credit accounts dependant on individual banks.
Should this not be possible due to cards expiring or tickets paid by cash or via invoice etc, the refund will be sent to customers’ online credit account and an automatic email will be sent providing the available options to receive a BACS refund.
Fans should not contact the Club in the meantime and should wait for confirmation emails from Lancashire Cricket.
