Kate Cross celebrates 50th cap with victory for England

Kate Cross celebrated her 50th International cap as England beat New Zealand by 13 runs on DLS to go 2-0 up in the series.

Cross took figures of 3-43 as England bowled New Zealand out for 169 in their pursuit of 183 after a rain delay earlier in the day.

One of Cross’s wickets was former team mate at Lancashire Thunder, overseas batter Amy Satterthwaite, as she was caught behind by Amy Jones for 1. While also claiming the wicket of Suzie Bates (28) and Lauren Down (22).

Fellow Lancashire teammate Sophie Ecclestone took 1-30 off 9 overs to secure the victory at Worcester.

England go up 2-0 up in the series and head to Leicester for the 3rd ODI starting at 1pm on Tuesday 21st September.
