Lancashire trio heading Down Under with Lions
Josh Bohannon, Saqib Mahmood and Matt Parkinson have all been named in the 14-man Lions squad for the tour of Australia starting in November.
It's Bohannon's first call into the Lions set-up as the 24-year-old is rewarded for a fine 2021 season which saw him score 853 runs at an average of 53 - including centuries against Yorkshire and eventual champions, Warwickshire.
Mahmood and Parkinson meanwhile, have both represented England in white ball cricket and will look to continue to push their cases for Test selection by impressing with the Lions.

Tom Abell (Somerset), Josh Bohannon (Lancashire), James Bracey (Gloucestershire), Brydon Carse (Durham), Mason Crane (Hampshire), Matthew Fisher (Yorkshire), Ben Foakes (Surrey), Alex Lees (Durham), Saqib Mahmood (Lancashire), Liam Norwell (Warwickshire), Matt Parkinson (Lancashire), Dom Sibley (Warwickshire), Jamie Smith (Surrey), Rob Yates (Warwickshire)
The touring party will depart on the 4 November along with the Test specialists selected in the Ashes squad.
The Lions will be in camp alongside the England Ashes squad and will play two intra-squad matches (1 x 3-day and 1 x 4-day matches) in Queensland. They will also take on Australia A in a four-day match. Dates and venues are still to be confirmed. The party will return home on 16 December.
