Live Blog: Lancashire v Warwickshire, Day 3

Welcome to Day Three of Lancashire's latest LV=County Championship clash against Warwickshire.

6.20pm, CLOSE Day 3, 19.0 overs
Warwickshire 2nd innings 52-1 lead by 82 runs, Sibley 17* Benjamin 28*
Josh Bohannon leads the team off at the end of the day followed his fine innings earlier and that is it for today.

It will be a tough task I suspect for either side to force a result tomorrow but you never know!

5.40pm, 7.0 overs
Warwickshire 2nd innings 11-1 lead by 41 runs, Sibley 7* Benjamin 1*
Saqib Mahmood has made an early breakthrough with a fast delivery that took out Rob Yates' off stump.

There are 12 overs left today and another wicket or two could very quickly change the complexion of this match.

5.00pm, 118.3 overs
Lancashire 1st innings 341 all out trail by 30 runs, Mahmood 5*
Emirates Old Trafford has stood to applaud Josh Bohannon after he was stumped for a magnificent 170 attempting to hit Danny Briggs somewhere on to the Metrolink station.

Bohannon now has scored 729 first-class runs this season at an average of 66.29. That's impressive.

Matt Parkinson was lbw to Liam Norwell for 3 and the bowler finishes with 6-57, a fine effort on such a tough track.

4.45pm, 115.0 overs
Lancashire 1st innings 327-8 trail by 45 runs, Bohannon 163* Mahmood 3*
Tom Bailey edged Danny Briggs to slip after three balls of the 110th over to give Warwickshire three balls to try and claim a third bowling point.

But Saqib Mahmood confidently shut them out to leave the 110 over score on 321-8 meaning both teams have ended up 4 bonus points from this match.

Lancashire are closing in on Warwickshire's total and this game at the moment looks to be heading for a draw unless there is a clatter of wickets tomorrow.

4.00pm, TEA Day 3, 108.0 overs
Lancashire 1st innings 317-7 trail by 54 runs, Bohannon 158* Bailey 6*
Josh Bohannon is applauded off at the break by both spectators and the Warwickshire team which is a generous gesture. He's unbeaten on 158 and has steered the Red Rose to a third batting point.

Danny Lamb was the last wicket to fall, Danny Briggs turning one past Lamb's forward defensive push to bowl the Red Rose batsman for 8.

3.30pm, 100.0 overs
Lancashire 1st innings 301-6 trail by 70 runs, Bohannon 150* Lamb 6*
Josh Bohannon has reached his second first-class 150 with a drive through extra cover off Chemar Holder for three runs! It has been a fabulous innings by Bohannon and Lancashire also have a third batting point.

3.00pm, 93.0 overs
Lancashire 1st innings 288-6 trail by 83 runs, Bohannon 144* Lamb 0*
This afternoon is turning into a repeat of yesterday's post-lunch session with wickets falling regularly. The new ball effect!

George Lavelle is the latest, lbw to Craig Miles for 4.

2.45pm, 90.0 overs
Lancashire 1st innings 279-5 trail by 92 runs, Bohannon 136* Lavelle 4*
Wickets continue to tumble and Liam Norwell has all five of them!

The latest was Liam Livingstone who hit three fours but shouldered arms to a ball that nipped back slightly to take out his off-stump.

2.25pm, 85.0 overs
Lancashire 1st innings 248-4 trail by 123 runs, Bohannon 117* Livingstone 4*
Liam Norwell has taken two wickets in three balls, Dane Vilas caught at slip for 67 and Rob Jones lbw second ball.

We were told earlier Liam Livingstone could not come until no.7 in the order but he's in at no.6 driving Norwell for a straight four from the second delivery faced.

2.05pm, 82.0 overs
Lancashire 1st innings 240-2 trail by 131 runs, Bohannon 116* Vilas 64*Warwickshire take the new ball as soon as it becomes available but the positive intent shown by Josh Bohannon and Dane Vilas this morning continues as Bohannon twice drives Liam Norwell through extra cover off the back foot with two fabulous shots.

1.00pm, LUNCH Day 3, 75.0 overs
Lancashire 1st innings 215-2 trail by 156 runs, Bohannon 104* Vilas 55*
That has been an excellent morning with the bat for the Red Rose with Josh Bohannon reaching his century and Dane Vilas making a fifty. Lancs 215-2 are closing in on Warwicks 371 with 115 runs scored in that session.

12.45pm, 71.0 overs
Lancashire 1st innings 208-2 trail by 163 runs, Bohannon 102* Vilas 52*
Josh Bohannon has gone to his third first-class century and second of the season while Dane Vilas has reached his half-century as the runs have flowed during this last hour.

12.15pm, 64.0 overs
Lancashire 1st innings 178-2 trail by 193 runs, Bohannon 87* Vilas 39*
Josh Bohannon and Dane Vilas are continuing to eat into Warwickshire's lead, posting their 50 partnership off 75 balls.

11.20am, 49.0 overs
Lancashire 1st innings 115-2 trail by 256 runs, Bohannon 63* Vilas 0*
Luke Wells shapes to play towards the leg side but is bowled for 45 by a great delivery from Norwell that straightens off the pitch and takes out his off stump.

Dane Vilas is in next and we understand Liam Livingstone cannot bat until number 7 in the order due to the amount of time he has been off the pitch after picking up an injury on the first day.

11.10am, 46.0 overs
Lancashire 1st innings 108-1 trail by 263 runs, Bohannon 59* Wells 43*
Josh Bohannon plays out a watchful first over maiden from Liam Norwell, but Luke Wells puts away a half-volley for four off Craig Miles and then square cuts the next ball for four more to bring up the 100 partnership off 261 balls.

11.00am
Further light drizzle had forced the groundstaff to put the hover cover back over the wicket but the drizzle has stopped and the hover cover removed, so it looks like we will get under way on time.

The floodlights have been switched on from the start today due to the cloudy conditions.

10.15am
Good morning from Emirates Old Trafford where we have had some light drizzle around 10 o'clock but thankfully it has now stopped.

It remains cloudy but we are expecting to start on time at 11am when Luke Wells and Josh Bohannon will resume the Lancashire innings on 100-1, trailing Warwickshire by 271 runs.
