Live Blog: Lancashire v Warwickshire, Day 4

Welcome to Day Four of Lancashire's latest LV=County Championship clash against Warwickshire.

4.50pm, MATCH DRAWN
Lancs 12 pts, Warwicks 12.
The players bump fists with
Warwickshire 2nd inns 233-6 and ahead by 263.

We've just seen Dane Vilas bowl the last over but the hero today was Matt Parkinson who has bowled 40 overs unchanged today and finished with 4-94.

Division One table update: 1.Warwicks 33 pts, 2.Lancashire 28.5 pts, 3.Notts 28 pts.

4.40pm, 97.0 overs
Warwickshire 2nd innings 225-6 lead by 255 runs, Lamb 27* Briggs 6*
I would think we are nearly done for this match with a declaration and the draw agreed not far away.

4.10pm, 87.0 overs
Warwickshire 2nd innings 216-6 lead by 246 runs, Lamb 21* Briggs 4*
It's another wicket from a full toss! Matt Parkinson has a fourth wicket and is on course to bowl all day from the Brian Statham End. Michael Burgess has hit the leg spinner to Josh Bohannon at midwicket who celebrated with some football skills!

3.40pm, TEA Day 4, 84.0 overs
Warwickshire 2nd innings 201-5 lead by 231 runs, Lamb 19* Burgess 13*
Lancashire took the new ball ten minutes before the break but have continued with the spin of Livingstone and Parkinson who has now bowled unchanged through both sessions.

There are 31 overs to go after tea but it seems very unlikely they will all be bowled with a draw now inevitable.

3.15pm, 77.0 overs
Warwickshire 2nd innings 191-5 lead by 221 runs, Lamb 15* Burgess 7*
Matthew Lamb is having a bit of a charmed life out there. He's edged Parkinson between wicketkeeper and first slip for 4 and now flicked Livingstone onto the sholuder of Rob Jones at short leg who just failed to grab the rebound. Tough chance.

2.55pm, 70.0 overs
Warwickshire 2nd innings 177-5 lead by 207 runs, Lamb 4* Burgess 4*
We've seen an outstanding, diving one-handed reaction catch at slip by Luke Wells off the bowling off Matt Parkinson to dismiss Bears' skipper Will Rhodes for 7.

That was a brilliant grab by Wells low to his left.

2.40pm, 66.0 overs
Warwickshire 2nd innings 169-4 lead by 199 runs, Rhodes 7* Lamb 0*
What is it with full toss deliveries? Liam Livingstone has just bowled one that Sam Hain, having made 48, has obligingly hit straight into the hands of sub fielder Richard Gleson at cover!

2.20pm, 62.0 overs
Warwickshire 2nd innings 165-3 lead by 195 runs, Hain 45* Rhodes 6*
There is spin from both ends now with Liam Livingstone on at the James Anderson End while Parkinson continues his unbroken spell today from the Brian Statham End.

2.00pm, 55.0 overs
Warwickshire 2nd innings 129-3 lead by 159 runs, Hain 19* Rhodes 0*
Matt Parkinson finally gets reward for his hard work today, bowling Dom Sibley around his legs for 57.

1.00pm, LUNCH Day 4, 50.0 overs
Warwickshire 2nd innings 115-2 lead by 145 runs, Sibley 46* Hain 16*
The visitors reach lunch having lost the one wicket this morning although it could quite easily have been more.

12.45pm, 48.0 overs
Warwickshire 2nd innings 111-2 lead by 141 runs, Sibley 46* Hain 16*
Not a great deal to report except that Matt Parkinson has come incredibly close to getting a second wicket on a number of occassions, beating the bat.

The only other incident came when the batsman took a quick single and Sam Hain would have been run out by miles if the throw from mid-wicket had hit the stumps.

12.00pm, 34.0 overs
Warwickshire 2nd innings 73-2 lead by 103 runs, Sibley 19* Hain 5*
No further wicket to report as Warwickshire pair Dom Sibley and Sam Hain steadily defend against Parkinson and now Danny Lamb, who has replaced Mahmood. In fact Hain hasn't scored a run in the last thirty minutes.

11.25am, 26.0 overs
Warwickshire 2nd innings 73-2 lead by 103 runs, Sibley 19* Hain 5*
It's Matt Parkinson who makes the breakthrough landing the ball in line with leg stump and spinning the ball past Chris Benjamin's attempted sweep to trap the batsman lbw for 42.

11.10am, 22.0 overs
Warwickshire 2nd innings 54-1 lead by 84 runs, Sibley 17* Benjamin 28*
Dane Vilas opting for a mixture of pace and spin at the start of play with Saqib Mahmood on at the James Anderson End and Matt Parkinson opening the bowling from the Brian Statham End.

10.30am
We have dry and cloudy conditions once again ahead of the final day of LV= County Championship action at Emirates Old Trafford this season with the final home match being played at Aigburth later this month.

Warwickshire will resume their second innings at 11am with an 82-run lead for the loss of Rob Yates last evening, bowled by a fast delivery from Saqib Mahmood that sent the batsman's off stump cartwheeling back.

Lancashire will hope for more of the same this morning.
