Second XI beat Yorkshire on final day at Chester
Lancashire Second XI beat Yorkshire at Chester yesterday by 5 wickets after chasing down 151.
Jack Morley, opening the batting in the second innings, fell cheaply on the final day for 6 to leave Lancashire 8/1, before Walkden (20) and Singh put on 39 for the second wicket.
Wicket keeper batsman Matthew Hurst came in and took the game away from Yorkshire with an excellent unbeaten 71 from 108 deliveries. Singh contributed nicely with 31 before Fielding (12) and Hartley (1) fell cheaply.
It was a comfortable second innings in the end for Lancashire with the Red Rose chasing down 151 in 49.5 overs.
Lancashire Second XI's final game of the season starts on the 14 September where they take on Durham at Southport and Birkdale Cricket Club.
