Former Lancashire and England captain - now Sky Sports Cricket commentator Mike Atherton - spoke to Paul Allott at Emirates Old Trafford recently to preview the 2021/22 Ashes series in Australia.
Atherton discusses the testing conditions and atmosphere which awaits England in the series opener at The Gabba, the importance of the returning Ben Stokes as well as a debate on England's batting line-up.
The 53-year-old also speaks about the emergence of Lancashire's Saqib Mahmood - the seamer is part of the touring Lions party who have joined the main Ashes squad Down Under.
