Jennings and Lamb pick up the top prizes at the End of Season Awards

Keaton Jennings was named Lancashire Cricket's Mistoria Group Player of the Year at the Club's End of Season Awards with Emma Lamb picking up Thunder's Player of the Year sponsored by Sportsbreaks.com, in front of over 750 guests in The Point at Emirates Old Trafford on Friday evening

It was a double success for England all-rounder Lamb who also scooped Thunder's T20 Player of the Year, sponsored by UA92, following a campaign which saw her score 404 runs and pick up 8 wickets for Thunder across both competitions. Lamb, who wasn't in attendance, had her awards accepted by opening partner Seren Smale.

Despite missing the opening three County Championship matches of the season, men's Player of the Year Jennings finished as Division One’s leading run scorer, racking up 1,233 runs including a new career best 318 against Somerset in Southport.

Jennings also captained Lancashire to the Royal London Cup final, hitting two centuries along the way and in the Vitality Blast his 75 from 51 balls at Finals Day guided Lancashire Lightning to a record run chase against Yorkshire in the semi-final.

It was also a busy evening for Steven Croft, who was crowned both the 1864 Members' Player of the Year and One-Day Player of the Year, sponsored by Seat Unique.

Croft achieved the feat of playing in every county fixture this summer. He struck 837 runs in the County Championship, 548 in the Vitality Blast and 385 in the Royal London Cup.

The other men's winners from the annual event in The Point at Emirates Old Trafford were Tom Bailey (County Championship Player of the Year, sponsored by Hilton), Richard Gleeson (T20 Player of the Year, sponsored by Emirates) and Tom Hartley (Young Player of the Year, sponsored by UA92).

A special presentation also took place with Luke Wells receiving his Lancashire County Cap on stage from Head Coach Glen Chapple, to recognise his contributions to the Club since joining from Sussex ahead of the 2021 season.

Thunder's Captain Ellie Threlkeld joined Lamb in the prizes as she was named One-Day Player of the Year, sponsored by Corinthians Sport, that was after topping Thunder’s run scoring charts in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy with 266 runs in six innings. With the gloves, Threlkeld also effected 11 dismissals.

The evening was proceeded by the Lancashire & Cheshire Grassroots Cricket Awards which recognised the many outstanding contributions of the volunteers who keep the passion for cricket burning in their respective leagues, clubs and communities.
