Morley claims hat-trick for Second XI at Glamorgan

Jack Morley took a hat-trick on Day One of the Second XI encounter against Glamorgan at Newport.

Morley claimed his hat-trick when he had Lewis caught at silly mid-off by Joe Mennie. This was after he had Ruadhri Smith leg before for 46, then bowled Lucas Carey leaving Lewis to face the hat-trick ball.

The left arm spinner finished the day with 3-48.

Glamorgan finished the day on 302-9 as Andy Gorvin hit an unbeaten 82 and added an unbroken last wicket stand of 64 with Jamie McIIroy (26*) to frustrate the Lancashire bowlers.

There was also contributions from Tom Cullen who made 42 and Billy Root 37.

Harvey Walker (2-34) and Jack Blatherwick (2-66) both picked up two wickets a piece, whilst there was also a wicket for the returning Mennie.
