Second XI bowlers dominate Day One at Leicestershire
Liam Hurt picked up three wickets to put Lancashire's Second XI on top at Kibworth in their opening Championship game against Leicestershire.
Only 36 overs were managed throughout Day One as a combination of rain and then bad light prevented play.
Leicestershire reached 89-6 at close with Jack Nightingale 46 not out who will resume day with Roman Walker 1*.
Only two other batters managed to reach double figures with opening batsman Vikai Kelly making 13 and Nat Bowley (10) as the Lancashire seamers dominated.
Earlier in the day, Lancashire captain George Lavelle won the toss and elected to bowl first.
Hurt who picked up 3-33 was well supported by U19 World Cup star Josh Boyden as he took 2-16 and Jack Blatherwick 1-28.
