Second XI pushing for victory at Yorkshire
Lancashire require 10 wickets for victory on the final day at Scarborough in the Second XI clash against Yorkshire.
Yorkshire trail Lancashire by 218 runs after openers Will Fraine (6*) and James Wharton (3*) safely negotiated the last three overs of the day, leaving the hosts on 9-0.
This was after Lancashire once again piled on the runs at Scarborough in a rain affected day on the East Coast.
Resuming the third morning on 317-2, Lancashire declared on 486-8 with a mammoth 227 run lead.
George Lavelle who made a century on day two could only add five to his overnight score before he was dismissed for 162.
Likewise, George Bell who was dismissed for 81 adding seven runs to his overnight total before both batsmen were dismissed by Matthew Waite who finished with figures of 3-45.
Jack Morley finished on 45 not out adding an unbeaten ninth wicket partnership of 60 with Louis Johnson (12*).
While there was contributions throughout the middle order from Subhaan Mahmood (26), Tom Hartley (25) and Jack Blatherwick (21).
