Vote for May’s Hilton Player of the Month

Vote for May’s Hilton Player of the Month

Four players are in the running for May’s Player of the Month, sponsored by Hilton.

Lancashire ended May unbeaten in the Vitality Blast, with two wins over Worcestershire Rapids and Notts Outlaws, securing a first T20 win at Trent Bridge since 2009 as well as a tied match versus Yorkshire at Emirates Old Trafford.

Earlier in the month - in the LV= Insurance County Championship, Lancashire drew two games while losing to Essex leaving Glen Chapple’s team fourth in the Championship at the end of the first block of red ball fixtures.

The Thunder won one of their four games in the Charlotte Edwards Cup with a 56-run win over Northern Diamonds at Sale CC.

For one lucky voter, Hilton are offering a two-night stay at one of their hotels around the world, as well as a signed Lancashire County Championship shirt. The winner will be drawn at random once voting closes tomorrow (6 June) at 5pm. Cast your vote using the form at the bottom of this page.

Georgie Boyce

Georgie Boyce - who partners Emma Lamb at the top of the Thunder batting line up - racked up a total of 162 runs in May's Charlotte Edwards Cup fixtures.

Averaging 40.5, Boyce passed fifty on two occasions with a score of 71 against the Lighting and 65 against the Northern Diamonds at Sale CC.

Matt Parkinson

Once again, Matt Parkinson shone throughout May. The leg-spinner picked up 11 wickets in the County Championship including figures of 4-90 against Yorkshire - claiming the prized scalps of Joe Root and Harry Brook on the way.

Parkinson also picked up match figures of 6-124 against Warwickshire at Emirates Old Trafford.

In the Vitality Blast, Parkinson picked up three wickets and bowled tightly only conceding runs at an economy 6.63 per over. He once again claimed the wicket of Joe Root in the Roses T20 clash at Emirates Old Trafford.

Keaton Jennings

Keaton Jennings enjoyed a fine run of form following his return to the team after he was ruled out with injury in April.

Returning back against Warwickshire in the County Championship, the left-handed opening batsmen scored 110. He then followed it up with an outstanding double century against Yorkshire at Headingly scoring 238 which brought up a third consecutive century and two against Yorkshire after his ton at Headingley, back in 2021.

Jennings then added 90 runs in the Vitality Blast from the opening three games to add to his 352 County Championship runs.

Opening the batting with Phil Salt, Jennings’ top score came against the Outlaws at Trent Bridge where he made 55 off 37 deliveries in Lancashire's 87-run victory.

Emma Lamb

Emma Lamb has continued her fine 2021 form for the Thunder, so far this season in the Charlotte Edwards Cup.

Lamb racked up a total of 144 runs in four matches, during May. The opening batter reached a half century on two occasions against Northern Diamonds and Lightning.

The all-rounder also picked up three wickets claiming figures of 2-18 against Northern Diamonds at Headingley.
