  • Travel Information

    The Club will be organising transport for the fixture at Sedbergh School and further details will be available in due course.

    The Members’ Representative Group (MRG) will be consulted on the best way to assess the levels of demand, locations, and the possibilities of return travel not just from various areas of the county but also from the nearest train station(s) to Sedbergh. Details of this will be released in plenty of time ahead of the fixture.

    BY ROAD

    Sedbergh School is under five miles from the M6, giving fast motorway access to Scotland, the Midlands and the South. From the North East the recommended route is either the A1 and A66 from Scotch Corner or, if living further south, the A65.

     

    BY RAIL

    Sedbergh is 25 minutes from the Lake District town of Kendal, and just 35 minutes from the city of Lancaster. Oxenholme Lake District station can be reached by direct trains from London Euston within 2 hours 40 minutes and is a key stopping point on the West Coast Main Line

    Sandwiches are available at the club bar with Hot drink machine situated in the main lounge. Bar offers variety of beverages.

    The club has 3 comfortable lounges all with outlook onto the ground and with tv screens. There is outdoor seating on the pavilion with access to the bars.

    The club has a large marquee available for functions including weddings, opening out onto the boundary of the ground The club is licensed for wedding ceremonies.

    Beer tents can be situated around the ground as well as food outlets and ice cream van.
    Scorecards are available around the ground on match days.

    Red Rose Members

    There will be a designated seated area in front of the Pavilion for Red Rose Members.

     If travelling from Manchester, board the train at Manchester Piccadilly and alight at Aigburth station.

    If travelling from the south, catch the Northampton train to Birmingham New Street then change to Liverpool South Parkway. Once at Liverpool South Parkway board the train to Aigburth station.

    Travelling from EOT

    • Turn onto White City Way
    • In 1.3 miles, bear left onto A5063
    • In 80 yards, bear left on
    • In 4.2 miles, continue onto M62
    • In 19 miles, take exit 6 onto A5080
    • In 0.3 miles, at the roundabout, take the second exit for A5300
    • In 2.8 miles, at the roundabout, take the fourth exit for A562
    • In 3.8 miles, at the roundabout, take the second exit onto Speke Road
    • In 2.1 miles, turn left onto Beechwood Road

    Travelling from the south

    • In 0.3 miles, turn right onto Abington Grove
    • In 0.7 miles, at the roundabout, take the first exit onto Kingsley Road
    • In 270 yards, at the roundabout, take the third exit onto Kingsthorpe Grove
    • In 0.6 miles, bear left onto Welford Road
    • In 11 miles, turn left to merge onto A14 towards The Midlands and M1 N
    • In 7 miles, continue onto M6
    • In 22 miles, keep right towards The N, West and Birmingham
    • In 1.9 miles, continue onto M42
    • In 2.7 miles, keep right on M6 Toll towards M42 and The N. East
    • In 21 miles, continue onto M6
    • In 55 miles, take exit 20 onto M56 and A50 towards N Wales and Chester
    • In 0.2 miles, keep left to merge onto M56 towards N Wales and Chester
    • In 8.8 miles, take exit 12 onto A557 towards Runcorn and Widnes
    • In 0.3 miles, at the roundabout, take the second exit onto A557 towards M6 and Runcorn
    • In 3.8 miles, keep left towards The Bridge and M62
    • In 1.2 miles, keep right towards Liverpool and A562
    • In 0.6 miles, continue onto Speke Road
    • In 5.6 miles, at the roundabout, take the second exit onto Speke Road
    • In 2.1 miles, turn left onto Beechwood Road

    Car Parking

    Car Parking is at the rugby field on Riversdale Road (next to Liverpool Cricket Club) at £3.

    There are a limited number of Blue Badge Parking spaces within the venue available on a first come, first served basis from the Lancashire Cricket Club Ticket Office.

    Red Rose Members

    Car Parking for Red Rose Members is at the rugby field on Riversdale Road (next to Liverpool Cricket Club) and free of charge on production of a valid Red Rose Member Car Park pass.
