Women's Cricket Through the Ages Exhibition
Emirates Old Trafford is delighted to be hosting the 'Women's Cricket Through the Ages Exhibition' in our Pavilion - and we are now able to share the exhibition online.
Cricket has traditionally been seen as a "male sport", despite the fact that women have played the game for just as long as men.
There is still a long way to go before women's cricket can be seen to be on an equal footing with the men's game. However, this exhibition also celebrates that women have travelled a long way since the first recorded match in 1745.
It is hoped that making the history of women's cricket more visible will help pave the way to a brighter future for the sport.
