Lancashire Lightning will be in Vitality Blast action at Emirates Old Trafford six times and once at Blackpool Cricket Club as Glen Chapple’s side look to extend their 15-match unbeaten streak in home T20 matches.

The campaign kicks off with a hat-trick of T20 doubleheaders as Lancashire Lightning’s Vitality Blast matches are played alongside Thunder’s fixtures in the Charlotte Edwards Cup.

The Club will also be further enhancing the match day offering this summer, with its Festival of Cricket Fan Village experience to provide visitors with a memorable day out at Emirates Old Trafford and is urging all supporters to secure their tickets at the early bird price and get behind the team as we look to go one step further and bring home the T20 trophy.

Emirates Old Trafford will host a ‘Women in Sport Day’ on Thursday 25 May which will see Thunder play in the headline slot against The Blaze – with that match beginning at 4.30pm after being preceded by Lancashire Lightning’s clash with Leicestershire Foxes at 12.30pm.

On Saturday 27 May, Thunder host Sunrisers (2.30pm) before Lancashire Lightning take on Notts Outlaws (6.30pm) in the evening fixture.

The action then moves to Blackpool Cricket Club on Wednesday 7 June when Thunder host local rivals Northern Diamonds at 11am before Lancashire Lightning take on Worcestershire Rapids at 5pm.

On Father’s Day (Sunday 18 June), Lancashire Lightning return to Emirates Old Trafford to face Durham in a 2.30pm start before taking on Derbyshire Falcons under the lights on Friday 23 June.

A week later on Friday 30 June, it’s the big one at Emirates Old Trafford as Lancashire Lightning and Yorkshire Vikings face off in the eagerly-anticipated Roses T20 live on Sky Sports Cricket at 6.30pm.

Lancashire Lightning’s North Group campaign then concludes at Emirates Old Trafford against Northants Steelbacks on Sunday 2 July – with a 2.30pm start time.

Early Bird tickets to watch Lancashire Lightning in this season’s Vitality Blast start from £10 adults and £1 juniors. Tickets are also now on sale for the Club's LV=County Championship campaign as Lancashire look to go one step further than last year, as well as the One-Day Cup.

With 2023 Memberships already reaching a record of over 8,000 Members ahead of the new season, Lancashire Cricket is advising supporters to book their tickets as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

Members who wish to attend Vitality Blast matches must book reserved seats as Membership cards will not be valid for access.

Daniel Gidney, Chief Executive of Lancashire Cricket said: “The 2023 season is drawing closer and we are looking forward to our men’s and women’s teams once again being backed by bumper home crowds in their respective T20 competitions at Emirates Old Trafford and Blackpool Cricket Club.

“As part of our ‘Women in Sport Day’ on Thursday 25 May, we were really keen to ensure that Thunder played in the headline evening slot on that day to build on what we started last year when Thunder became the first regional women’s side to main event a T20 doubleheader.

“Following this decision, we received a request from our visitors The Blaze - who due to tight scheduling are back in action the next day and require as much recovery time as possible – and our willingness to accommodate this request, in the fairness of competition, resulted in both our men’s and women’s fixtures being brought forward by two hours to 12.30pm and 4.30pm start times.

“Despite the obvious scheduling difficulties, we feel strongly as a Club that this is a really important decision to take – with full agreement and backing from both our men’s and women’s cricket departments – and one which highlights our continued commitment towards leading the way in changing perceptions and attitudes towards the women’s game.

“With Lancashire Lightning unbeaten in 15 home T20 matches, and Thunder set to play in more T20 doubleheaders than ever before, we are excited ahead of a blockbuster 2023 season for the Club and look forward to welcoming our Members and supporters back through the turnstiles.”
