The month of April saw Lancashire go unbeaten in three LV= Insurance County Championship matches, with three draws. Your nominees for Hilton Player of the Month are below:

James Anderson

In his two matches since returning to the side, Anderson got straight into the swing of things as he picked up 11 wickets at an average of just 20.45

The 40-year-old picked up his 54th First-Class career five-wicket haul in the first innings of Lancashire's most recent match against Somerset at Taunton.

George Bell

Youngster Bell has been an assured presence behind the stumps with the wicket-keeping gloves on during Lancashire's three opening matches - taking nine catches and one stumping.

But, it's with the bat where he has impressed most hitting a pair of gritty fifties against Essex at Chelmsford and averaging exactly 43 from his four innings played in April.

Josh Bohannon

Lancashire's number three kicked off the season in style with a hard-fought century on the final day to guide the Red Rose to a draw against the champions Surrey at Emirates Old Trafford.

Bohannon followed that up with a fluent 85 in the first innings against Somerset that included 11 fours and two sixes. He scored 280 runs in April at an average of 56.

Keaton Jennings

Jennings ended April as the leading run-scorer in County Championship Division One, dominating at the top of the order and racking up 378 runs at an average of 94.50.

After kicking off the season with 76 against Surrey and 96 against Essex, Jennings went big at the third time of asking against Somerset. Heartbreakingly, during his unbeaten 189* at Taunton, he suffered a hamstring injury which has ruled him out of Lancashire's upcoming matches.
