2025 internationals at Emirates Old Trafford: It's cricket, but BIGGER!

Emirates Old Trafford, the home of Lancashire Cricket, will host a big summer of international cricket next year, with the dates for 2025 now confirmed.

The summer in Manchester will kick off as international women’s cricket returns to Emirates Old Trafford for the first time in over a decade when England host India in a Vitality Women’s International T20 on Wednesday 9 July.

Emirates Old Trafford will then stage the fourth Rothesay Men’s Test match of the series between England and India, from Wednesday 23 July until Sunday 27 July, before England return to the venue to face South Africa in a Vitality Men’s International T20 on Friday 12 September.

HOSPITALITY EXPERIENCES

Daniel Gidney Chief Executive at Lancashire Cricket said: "Emirates Old Trafford is one of the world’s leading venues for international cricket and we are really pleased to have secured two more men’s fixtures for 2025, in addition to the long-awaited return of international women’s cricket at our venue.

"Securing the return of women’s internationals to Emirates Old Trafford was something we were incredibly passionate about in order to provide our North West fanbase, who follow Lancashire Thunder and Manchester Originals, with opportunities to watch England Women live. To host our first ever IT20 vs India Women, just under three weeks before India men come to Emirates Old Trafford, provides an unrivalled festival of Indian cricket in Manchester.

"The men’s Test against India – the first of four men’s fixtures against India at Emirates Old Trafford during the next five years – which continues our long association with Indian cricket, will be the first Men’s Test vs India for 11 years to be played at Emirates Old Trafford and we are expecting tickets to be highly sought after for all days of the Test match next July."

Kate Cross, England and Lancashire Thunder bowler, added: "It would be a dream come true to play for England at Emirates Old Trafford and I’m absolutely delighted to see one of our IT20s against India scheduled here next year - plus a further four matches throughout the 2025-2029 major match cycle.

"With the additional funding and effort that’s gone into the professional Lancashire Thunder programme, and securing Tier One for next summer, I really believe that Lancashire are leading the way in women’s cricket and hosting International fixtures again feels like the natural next step.

"Having played international cricket against India and also experiencing the Women’s IPL with tournament winning RCB, I can’t wait for India Men and Women to come to Manchester next July."

Dane Vilas, Former Lancashire Captain and South Africa International, added: "Having played for South Africa and also for Lancashire, I am really excited at the prospect of seeing my country play an IT20 at my home from home, Emirates Old Trafford - one of the best grounds in the world to watch T20 cricket at."
