Keshana is an opening batter and off-break bowler who plays his club cricket at Hyde Cricket Club.

When joining the academy at just 15 years old, Keshana was the youngest entrant ever to the Lancashire Academy when he joined in 2021. 

It is clear to see his class with the bat - particularly showed when he hit a century against Yorkshire Academy last year. The century came off 112 balls and including 15 fours which makes it his fastest hundred for the U-18's / Academy.

Keshana also represented the North side in the 2021 Bunbury festival. His standout performance came in a fixture where he reached 59 in a 11-run victory over the ECB South and East team. Fonseka has represented the Lancashire Second XI on two occasions which came during the 2022 season. 

The Chairman at Hyde CC described Kesh as ‘not just a player of rich promise, but also a well-mannered and pleasant young man. He is a credit to his family.’
