Player Profile
Hannah Rainey is Thunder’s third international signing for 2023, the seamer having played 24 T20 matches for Scotland between 2018 and 2022.
The London-born player has played county cricket for Cumbria and represented Lancashire’s women twice last June in 50-over friendly matches.
She claimed 3-35 in a defeat to the Thunder Academy at Newton-le-Willows, taking the new ball on that occasion.
Right-armer Rainey has signed a pay-as-you-play contract with Thunder for this regional summer, joining fellow international recruits Tara Norris (USA) and Deandra Dottin (West Indies) in the squad.
She has taken 10 international wickets at senior level having come through the age-groups with Scotland.
Rainey’s best haul for Scotland was 2-22 from four overs in a win over Papua New Guinea at the World T20 Qualifying competition in Utrecht in summer 2018.
