Hannah Rainey was Thunder’s third international signing ahead of 2023, the bustling right-arm seamer closing in on 50 appearances for Scotland.
The London-born quick has played county cricket for Cumbria and Lancashire, and she will be hoping to make her pro debut for the Red Rose in 2025.
She made a handful of appearances for her country in 2024 and will also be aiming to feature at the 50-over World Cup in late 2025.
Rainey is one of three Scots in the Lancashire squad alongside wicketkeeper-batter Ailsa Lister and off-spinner Liv Bell.
She has taken 31 international wickets at senior level having come through the age-groups with Scotland. She has an ODI best of 5-41 and a T20I best of 3-15, both taken in 2023 against Ireland and the Netherlands respectively.
Rainey, who has been an Oval Invincibles squad member in the Hundred, is also a qualified vet.
