Emirates Old Trafford Host Special One Love Manchester Benefit Concert

One Love Manchester Concert

Everyone at Lancashire County Cricket Club and Emirates Old Trafford is proud to be hosting the special One Love Manchester benefit concert on Sunday 4 June, to honour and raise vital funds for the victims and families who were tragically affected by the Manchester attack after the Ariana Grande show last week.

The special One Love Manchester benefit concert at Emirates Old Trafford, the home of Lancashire County Cricket Club, will take place seven days after the venue successfully hosted a 50,000 sell-out concert on Saturday 27 May that saw the Courteeners, the Charlatans, Blossoms and Cabbage perform on an emotional evening, five days after the events earlier in the week.

Ariana Grande has called on the biggest international names in music to join her for this unforgettable evening, including Justin Bieber, Coldplay, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Pharrell Williams, Usher, Take That, Niall Horan, and others.

Net ticket proceeds of the show will go directly to the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund which was set up by the Manchester City Council in partnership with the British Red Cross, in aid of grieving families and victims of the horrific attack.

David Hodgkiss OBE, Chairman of Lancashire County Cricket Club, said: “The victims, families and friends of all those affected by the tragic events of Monday 22 May remain at the forefront of everyone’s thoughts. We are proud to be part of what promises to be an emotional occasion, and a showcase of music, enjoyment, memories and reflection, that we can hope can go some way to easing the pain and heartache that this great city has endured in the last week.

“The pride, strength and spirit that has been seen in the last week is testament to the character of the people of Manchester, and this has continued with the warmth and generosity of some of the world’s greatest music artists and their management teams, as well as all of the other people, organisations and services that are part of making the concert on Sunday 4 June happen.”

Lancashire County Cricket Club and Emirates Old Trafford will continue to work closely with the artists, promoters, Police, Trafford Council, Manchester City Council and all relevant authorities to ensure that the event is a fitting way to remember the 22 people who lost their lives, the hundreds who were injured, and the many other people who will never forget, and always be affected, by the awful events of Monday 22 May, as well as continue to help promote the fundraising initiatives of the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund.
