An intimate dinner with Andrew 'Freddie' Flintoff

An intimate dinner with Andrew 'Freddie' Flintoff

Join us for an intimate dinner with Lancashire and England cricket legend Andrew “Freddie” Flintoff at the Manchester Sporting Club, in association with Steven Croft’s Testimonial.

Hosted by award winning sports writer, broadcaster and speaker, Ian Stafford, the dinner will take place on Wednesday 12 December, from 6pm – 9pm.

A three-course dinner will be served, with framed photos for every guest and will include a 30-40 minute Q&A with Flintoff.

Former Lancashire all-rounder Flintoff made 79 Test match and 141 ODI appearances for England and following his retirement in 2009, he returned to play for Lancashire Lightning in the T20 Blast in 2014, helping the side to reach Finals Day at Edgbaston.

After winning the Ashes with England in 2005, Flintoff was named BBC Sports Personality of the Year. Following his retirement from sport, Freddie joined the panel of BAFTA-winning A League of Their Own, presented documentaries and interviewed some of the world's most famous figures.

Tickets for the evening cost £80 +VAT for members of the Manchester Sporting Club and £100 +VAT for non-members, with proceeds going towards Croft’s chosen charities, Fylde coast children’s hospice Brian House and the Professional Cricketers Associations’ Benevolent Fund.

Croft has made over 450 appearances for the Red Rose and will go down in Lancashire folklore as the man who hit the winning runs to secure Championship title glory for the first time in 77 years, against Somerset at Taunton in 2011.

The Blackpool-born all-rounder, who holds an English record 148 consecutive appearances for Lancashire Lightning in T20 cricket, was appointed the Club’s permanent Captain ahead of the 2016 season after being handed the role when Tom Smith stepped down after missing all but one match in 2015.

He had led the Red Rose during that season as a stand-in Captain, and steered the county to a maiden NatWest T20 Blast title and promotion back to Division One in the County Championship.
