Hilton Garden Inn extends sponsorship

Hilton Garden Inn to sponsor Specsavers County Championship shirt

Lancashire Cricket is delighted to announce that Hilton Garden Inn has extended and enhanced its sponsorship of the Club.

As part of the extended sponsorship, Hilton Garden Inn will be the Club’s new shirt sponsor for the Specsavers County Championship kit for the 2018 season. The shirt was worn for the first time today as Lancashire play the UAE national team in a two-day red-ball fixture at the ICC Academy in Dubai.

The extension follows on from the new 150-bed Hilton Garden Inn hotel successfully opening at Emirates Old Trafford last summer as well as the innovative ‘Best beds in the house’ activation during last year’s major international and domestic match days.

The partnership activation was aligned with the opening of the new hotel, where the Club was able to create an exciting experiential space, ideally located adjacent to the pitch and directly in front of the hotel itself. The activation has received widespread recognition and was recently been nominated for the BT Sport Industry Awards as well as the European Sponsorship Association Awards earlier this year.

As part of the new partnership, supporters will be able to vote for their Lancashire Specsavers County Championship Player of the Month throughout the season. Hilton will be offering successful drawn voters a free hotel break at a Hilton Garden Inn in the UK and the same prize will also be awarded to the winning Lancashire player, of which nominations will be made by the cricket management team. Votes will be cast on the Club’s website at the end of each month.

“Hilton is a well-regarded international brand and it’s fantastic that, as part of the new partnership, they will also be on the front of the Club’s Specsavers County Championship shirt for 2018.

“We have a fantastic relationship with Hilton Garden Inn following on from the opening of our new hotel as well as well as the ‘Best beds in the house’ activation last year and we’re looking forward to working closely with them in the years to come.”
