Saqib Mahmood bowling around the wicket with short leg and two leg slips but to no avail as another over is completed.

Jared Warner sees off an over from Hassan Ali and Ajett Dale gets a single from the first ball of Saqib Mahmood's over to put Warner back on strike.
Warner twitches a bit as if to play at the next delivery but it goes past the edge. There are four slips now waiting for a chance but Warner survives the over.

We have started the last hour where a minimum of 16 overs will be bowled with Matt Parkinson on at the Pavilion End and Hassan Ali coming in from the Brian Statham End.
Lace and Warner have been together for 22 overs now are surrounded by fielders when Parkinson bowls and the tension is palpable.

Tom Lace and Jared Warner have held out to reach tea so we will have a minimum of 32 overs left after the break for Lancashire to get the remaining two wickets they need for victory.

What a cracker from Hassan Ali! The fast bowler bowled consecutive bouncers at Josh Shaw and then with the following delivery knocked back off and middle stumps with a really quick delivery with the batsman rooted to the crease. Unplayable.

Tom Lace and Josh Shaw are fighting hard for their side. They've added 36 runs so far and played some nice shots.

This time Parkinson floats one up to Zafar Gohar and it grips and turns into the batsman's leg stump. Cracking delivery and Lancs need three more wickets.

Well what do you know? Maybe that field worked because if might have just preoccupied Miles Hammond who was late on his shot to an Anderson seamer that nipped back and hit his pads!
He's gone lbw for 50 and Lancashire have their afternoon breakthrough!

Into the afternoon with Jimmy Anderson and Matt Parkinson starting with the ball for Lancs.
Meanwhile Miles Hammond has reached his half-century off 147 balls.
Anderson is bowling to a field containing short mid-off, short extra cover, short cover, short point and one wide slip (about third slip area). Funky!

Gloucestershire 2nd innings 116-5, Hammond 45 Lace 12, trail by 188 runs.
We finally saw some wickets fall during a morning session of this match with Matt Parkinson taking two in two deliveries and very nearly snaring a third.
But Miles Hammond and Tom Lace have dug in since to take Gloucestershire safely through to lunch without further loss.
There are a minimum of 64 overs left to be bowled in this match.

Lancashire continue to probe away for another wicket but apart from a few big lbw appeals from Matt Parkinson there has not been many close calls in last twenty minutes or so.

Drama as Parkinson nearly has a third wicket!
Tom Lace, on a pair, drove the leg spinner to a deepish mid-off where Dane Vilas made a great diving attempt at a catch but couldn't hang on.

Lancashire have a double breakthrough!
Matt Parkinson gets two in two, finding some nice drift and turn to find the edge of Graeme van Buuren's bat, caught at slip by Luke Wells.
And the leg spinner then bowls Ryan Higgins first ball!

Forty minutes into the final day and both Hassan Ali and Jimmy Anderson have had the batsmen playing and missing but without reward.
Miles Hammond has just scored his first runs of the morning while Graeme van Buuren has demonstrated fantastic judgement by leaving a Hassan delivery was oh so close to off stump.
Anderson is now having a rest after his spell of 5-3-5-0 with Saqib Mahmood taking over while Matt Parkinson is coming on at the Brian Statham End to replace Hassan.

Jimmy Anderson and Hassan Ali are opening the Red Rose attack this morning in sunny and, once again, very windy conditions.

Gloucestershire have it all to do today with seven second innings left and a deficit of 237 runs to overcome as Lancashire look to close out a second successive victory and make it two wins from two games at the start of this Division One campaign.
Red Rose skipper Dane Vilas isn’t underestimating the task ahead.
“It’s a really good wicket but there’s a bit more rough out there for the spinners,” he said. “They’ve got some good players who can handle the pressure situations so it’s going to be a tough ask. But saying that, the way we bowled in the first innings was excellent.
