Steven Croft enjoyed an excellent June, the Blackpool-born batter scored a total of 545 runs in the County Championship and Vitality Blast combined.
During a month which saw Lancashire Lightning play two matches at Croft’s home club of Blackpool CC against Nottinghamshire and Durham, the 37-year-old scored five half centuries including two in Blackpool.
Croft hit 61* during Lightning's six wicket win against Notts Outlaws followed by 52* against Durham. In just the month of June, Croft has scored 364 runs in the Blast averaging over 52.
In the County Championship, Croft scored two half centuries; 90 in Lancashire’s four-wicket win over Warwickshire at Edgbaston followed by 80 against Gloucestershire in Bristol.
It’s been a month of maximums for Lancashire Lightning's Vitality Blast overseas signing Tim David. The Australian hit 19 sixes for Lancashire in June, scoring a total of 254 runs in the Vitality Blast.
David has already wrote his name into Lancashire's T20 record books, with the record amount of sixes hit in a T20 season for the Club, passing Liam Livingstone’s 23 with matches still to be played.
The destructive middle order batter's standout contribution in June came during Lancashire Lightning's win against Yorkshire Vikings at Headingley, when he struck 66 from just 32 balls including four fours and six sixes.
Sophie Ecclestone starred in Thunder’s five-wicket win over Loughborough Lightning at Emirates Old Trafford. The left-arm spinner took joint best Charlotte Edwards Cup record figures of 5-15.
Meanwhile, Ecclestone also featured during Thunder’s game against the Southern Vipers in the headline slot at Emirates Old Trafford, powering an unbeaten 28 as the side made history.
Richard Gleeson enjoyed a fine June playing for Lancashire Lightning in the Vitality Blast, which culminated in a call up to England's IT20 squad for the series against India.
The fast bowler claimed 12 wickets during the month, including 4-19 against Durham at the Seat Unique Riverside, 3-45 away to Derbyshire Falcons and 2-37 versus Yorkshire Vikings, claiming the big wicket of David Willey which turned the tide of the game in Lancashire’s favour in the tense four-run win.
