14 in contention to face Hampshire in Southport
Head Coach Glen Chapple has named a 14-man squad to take on Hampshire as Lancashire Cricket return to LV= Insurance County Championship Division One action in Southport on Sunday.
Dane Vilas will captain the side at Southport & Birkdale Cricket Club as wicketkeeper Phil Salt returns to the red ball squad for the first time this season as the Red Rose go in search of a first red ball victory after drawing the opening five matches.
Luke Wells has been ruled out with a groin injury whilst Club captain Keaton Jennings is continuing with his rehabilitation programme after suffering a hamstring injury whilst batting against Somerset at Taunton in April.
James Anderson has joined up with England Men’s Test squad ahead of the Ashes whilst Liam Livingstone and Jos Buttler are both managing their workloads and will return to action in the Vitality Blast next week.
Saqib Mahmood remains under assessment by the Club's Medical Department after missing the last four T20 matches.
