Daryl Mitchell named in 14-man squad to face Warwickshire

Head Coach Glen Chapple has named a 14-man squad to take on Warwickshire in the LV= Insurance County Championship, starting tomorrow (19 July) at Edgbaston.

Daryl Mitchell returns to the matchday squad after missing out last week against Essex after he was rested at the request of New Zealand Cricket - in order to manage a tight groin. Steven Croft has also been added to the squad that will travel to Birmingham.

Colin de Grandhomme has returned to New Zealand following the conclusion of his overseas contract. The Club would like to thank him for his services since joining in April.

Following the announcement that Rob Jones will leave the Club to join Worcestershire at the end of the season, he will not feature in Lancashire's First Team plans for the remainder of the summer.

Glen Chapple's side head to Edgbaston bidding to bounce back from last week’s narrow 46-run defeat against Essex at Blackpool, their first defeat in 16 County Championship matches since last May.

Lancashire Cricket squad to face Warwickshire:

Keaton Jennings (c), Tom Bailey, George Balderson, George Bell, Jack Blatherwick, Josh Bohannon, Steven Croft, Tom Hartley, Daryl Mitchell, Jack Morley, Phil Salt, Luke Wells, Will Williams, Luke Wood
