Lancashire Lightning name 15-man squad to face the Steelbacks

Head Coach Glen Chapple has named a 15-man squad ahead of Lancashire Lightning's return to Vitality Blast action tomorrow evening against Northants Steelbacks.

Lancashire Lightning travel to Wantage Road off the back of a win over Worcestershire Rapids in their last T20 outing in Blackpool last Wednesday - and the Red Rose squad will be buoyed by a first County Championship win of the season over Hampshire this week.

Luke Wells missed that County Championship win due to a groin injury but returns and will be in contention to face the Steelbacks alongside captain Liam Livingstone, Jos Buttler, Colin de Grandhomme and Luke Wood who all return to the matchday squad.

19-year-old all-rounder Tom Aspinwall - who claimed a competition record 22 wickets in this year's Second XI T20 - has also been included for the trip to Wantage Road.

Lancashire Lightning squad to travel to Northants Steelbacks:

Liam Livingstone (c), Tom Aspinwall, George Bell, Jack Blatherwick, Jos Buttler, Steven Croft, Colin De Grandhomme, Tom Hartley, Rob Jones, Daryl Mitchell, Matt Parkinson, Phil Salt, Dane Vilas, Luke Wells, Luke Wood
