Livingstone, Salt named in squad to face Foxes

Livingstone, Salt named in squad to face Foxes

Liam Livingstone and Phil Salt have been included in Lancashire Lightning's squad for their opening home match of the 2023 Vitality Blast.

The pair returned from Indian Premier League (IPL) duties over the weekend and have been added into Head Coach Glen Chapple's otherwise unchanged 16-man squad to face Leicestershire Foxes at Emirates Old Trafford tomorrow (25 May).

Saqib Mahmood has overcome the illness which ruled him out of Saturday's Vitality Blast Off victory over Derbyshire Falcons at Edgbaston - to take his place in the squad.

Livingstone will captain the side in the absence of Keaton Jennings (hamstring) - with Jennings and Richard Gleeson (wrist) Lancashire's only two injury absentees.

Jos Buttler will make his return to action for the Club on Friday 1 June, following a short rest after the IPL.

Lancashire Lightning squad to face Leicestershire Foxes:

Liam Livingstone (c), Tom Bailey, George Bell, Josh Bohannon, Steven Croft, Colin de Grandhomme, Tom Hartley, Rob Jones, Danny Lamb, Saqib Mahmood, Daryl Mitchell, Matt Parkinson, Phil Salt, Dane Vilas, Luke Wells, Luke Wood
