Onions names 13-man squad to face Cumbria at Sedbergh School

Graham Onions has named a young 13-man squad to face Cumbria in tomorrow's National Counties Showcase Game at Sedbergh School (11am start).

Seven players included in the squad are yet to make their First Team debut for Lancashire Cricket and will have a chance to impress in the 50-over friendly that serves as a warm-up for the Metro Bank One Day Cup, which starts on Tuesday.

It was announced yesterday that Onions will lead Lancashire during this summer's Metro Bank One Day Cup with support from Karl Krikken and Steven Croft.

Club Captain Keaton Jennings, Tom Bailey, Josh Bohannon and Will Williams are all rested for the match against Cumbria - with a number of players unavailable due to their participation in The Hundred.

Both Rob Jones (Worcestershire) and Matt Parkinson (Kent) will spend the One Day Cup out on loan ahead of leaving the Club at the end of this season.

The Red Rose kick off their Metro Bank One Day Cup campaign against Essex at Sedbergh School on Tuesday.

Lancashire Cricket squad to face Cumbria:

Tom Aspinwall, George Balderson, Charlie Barnard, George Bell, Harry Birkman, Jack Blatherwick, Josh Boyden, Cian Dickinson, Matthew Hurst, George Lavelle, Jack Morley, Harry Singh, Dane Vilas
