SECOND XI REPORT: Match abandoned due to rain

Rain at the Edgbaston Community Sports Ground in Birmingham has seen the Second XI Championship match against Warwickshire end as a draw.

Only two days play were possible in the match against Warwickshire, with rain wiping out the second and fourth days completely.

The result has also ended Lancashire's Championship chances with the Red Rose remaining in third place with a 13.18 points average but now unable to overtake leaders Leicestershire who have finished their matches with a 14.75 points average.

Lancashire finish their 2023 campaign with a four-day Championship match against Middlesex at Blackpool C.C. starting next Monday.
