Wood returns to 14-man squad named to face Middlesex

Wood returns to 14-man squad named to face Middlesex

Glen Chapple has named a 14-man squad to face Middlesex in the LV= Insurance County Championship, starting on Sunday at Emirates Old Trafford.

Luke Wood replaces Jack Blatherwick in the only change to the squad after Blatherwick sustained a knee injury whilst fielding in the first innings in Northampton which prevented him from bowling during the second innings of the win.

Danny Lamb and Rob Jones are once again included in the squad in order to provide cover and allow those not included in the 14 to get game time in the Second XI - who face Warwickshire away starting on Monday.

Jos Buttler and Liam Livingstone are both part of England's ongoing ODI series against New Zealand whilst Matt Parkinson's loan deal with Durham has been extended until the end of the season.

Tom Aspinwall and Saqib Mahmood remain sidelined with back injuries.

Lancashire Cricket squad to face Middlesex:

Keaton Jennings (c), Tom Bailey, George Balderson, George Bell, Josh Bohannon, Steven Croft, Tom Hartley, Rob Jones, Danny Lamb, Phil Salt, Dane Vilas, Luke Wells, Will Williams, Luke Wood
