Four players set to depart Lancashire Thunder

Laura Jackson, Daisy Mullan and Shachi Pai will leave Lancashire Thunder at the end of their current contracts on October 31, while Naomi Dattani is set to join another county on a permanent basis ahead of the 2025 season.

Seam bowler Jackson became one of the Club’s first players to turn professional in 2021 and made 30 appearances across both formats for Lancashire Thunder - taking 23 wickets.

Batter Mullan signed professional terms for the first time ahead of the 2023 season and made 17 appearances in a Lancashire Thunder shirt.

All-rounder Pai – who held a pay-as-you-play contract with Lancashire Thunder – made 10 appearances for the Club since returning in 2022.

Dattani moves on after making 29 appearances for Lancashire Thunder, with the all-rounder scoring 472 runs and taking 21 wickets, since joining two seasons ago.

Regional Director of Women’s Cricket, David Thorley, said: “I would like to thank all four players for their efforts and contributions to Lancashire Thunder during the regional era.

“Laura, Daisy, and Shachi have all been part of the Lancashire set-up at county and regional level for a long time and we wish them all the very best for the future.

“Naomi joined us for the last two seasons and played an important role in helping us to reach Finals Day for the first time in 2023. We wish her well in her new chapter.”
