Lancashire name squad for Metro Bank One-Day Cup opener

Lancashire name squad for Metro Bank One-Day Cup opener

Head coach Dale Benkenstein has named a 14-man squad for Lancashire's opening Metro Bank One-Day Cup Group A match against Durham, which takes place tomorrow at Sedbergh School.

Captain Keaton Jennings, Josh Bohannon and Tom Bruce all return to the squad after they were rested for Sunday's warm-up match against Cumbria, which saw Lancashire win by 39 runs. All-rounder Tom Aspinwall - who is part of Manchester Originals' squad for The Hundred - is available for the Red Rose to face Durham.

Left-arm quick Ollie Sutton has been named in the squad after signing a short-term contract until the end of the season. 24-year-old Sutton featured in Sunday's win over Cumbria after impressing in a recent Second XI game and during First Team practice. He was also part of Lancashire's Academy during his teenage years.

Chris Green has extended his overseas contract with Lancashire to include the Metro Bank One-Day Cup but was called into the Trent Rockets squad to temporarily replace Rashid Khan for their first match of The Hundred this week.
