5.34pm HAMPSHIRE WIN BY AN INNINGS & 37 RUNS
Lancashire 2nd inns (following-on) 152 all out.
Tom Bailey is caught by Kyle Abbott off Liam Dawson for 8 to give the left arm spinner a second five-wicket haul of 5 for 52 & match figures of 10-99.

Points: Lancashire 3, Hampshire 22.

5.15pm WICKET
Lancashire 2nd inns (following-on) 147-9 Bailey 6 Aspinwall 0 trail by 42 runs.
Liam Dawson strikes again, his ninth wicket in the match, bowling Tom Hartley for 10.

4.50pm WICKET
Lancashire 2nd inns (following-on) 133-8 Hartley 2 Bailey 0 trail by 56 runs.
George Balderson throws the kitchen sink at a drive off Mo Abbas but edges to Tom Prest at second slip for 7.

4.45pm WICKET
Lancashire 2nd inns (following-on) 131-7 Balderson 7 Hartley 0 trail by 58 runs.
Venkatesh Iyer's attacking cameo comes to an end after he makes room to cut Liam Dawson but bottom edges onto his stumps to depart for 35.

4.40pm
Lancashire 2nd inns (following-on) 129-6 Balderson 3 Iyer 35 trail by 60 runs.
Venkatesh Iyer has continued to attack when possible launching Kyle Abbott for four with a lofted square drive and he's moved on to 35 off just 26 balls, quite a contrast to what has gone before.

4.00pm TEA Day 3
Lancashire 2nd inns (following-on) 110-6 Balderson 0 Iyer 22 trail by 79 runs.
We saw two contrasting styles in that twenty minutes before tea with George Balderson dropping an anchor for 20 deliveries while Venkatesh Iyer has thumped a six and two fours in making 22 off 14 balls.

But Lancashire are still staring at a possible three day defeat, trailing by 79 with four wickets left and a potential 40 overs still to play today.

3.40pm WICKET
Lancashire 2nd inns (following-on) 88-6 Balderson 0 Iyer 0 trail by 101 runs.
Two wickets in two overs!

Luke Wells is unlucky there, he plays defensively against Liam Dawson only to see the ball spin off his bat and onto the stumps.

3.35pm WICKET
Lancashire 2nd inns (following-on) 88-5 Wells 50 Balderson 0 trail by 101 runs.
It had gone pretty quiet out in the middle but James Fuller returns to snare George Bell for 21 from an inside edge onto his thigh pad that balloons up to Fletcha Middleton at short leg.

Shame from Lancs viewpoint. That partnership of 44 had double the score but more importantly taken 20 overs and stalled the Hampshire victory push.

3.30pm
Lancashire 2nd inns (following-on) 85-4 Wells 50 Bell 21 trail by 104 runs.
Nick Gubbins brought on to bowl some leg spin and 11 runs come from the over as both batters help themselves to a boundary.

Luke Wells then reaches his fifty from 143 balls, in the circumstances just the sort of innings required from the Red Rose opener.

3.00pm
Lancashire 2nd inns (following-on) 59-4 Wells 41 Bell 8 trail by 129 runs.
Luke Wells (41 off 126 balls) and George Bell (8 off 36) are mounting a determined rearguard action to stave off defeat, and Hampshire are now giving Tom Prest the opportunity to bowl his off breaks.

It's slow going - the 59 runs scored have come from 46 overs.

2.15pm WICKET
Lancashire 2nd inns (following-on) 44-4 Wells 33 Bell 0 trail by 145 runs.
Matty Hurst had resisted for 18 balls but can't resist having a swing at the 19th and is bowled by Liam Dawson for 0.

1.55pm WICKET
Lancashire 2nd inns (following-on) 39-3 Wells 28 Hurst 0 trail by 150 runs.
Rocky Flintoff gets a good length ball from Mo Abbas that leaves him off the pitch but finds an edge that goes to wicketkeeper Ben Brown. That ends a determined stay of 53 balls by Flintoff who made 8.

1.00pm, LUNCH Day 3
Lancashire 2nd inns (following-on) 34-2 Wells 24 Flintoff 7 trail by 155 runs.
Rocky Flintoff has played patiently, taking 23 balls to get off the mark before sweeping Dawson for four.

Luke Wells has been rock-like in making 24 off 67 balls as Lancashire battle hard to save this game.

12.35pm
Lancashire 2nd inns (following-on) 19-2 Wells 16 Flintoff 0 trail by 170 runs.
No surprise, given his first innings performance, that Liam Dawson is into the visitor's attack early and presumably hoping to find some bounce while the Kookaburra ball is hard.

12.15pm WICKET
Lancashire 2nd inns (following-on) 9-2 Wells 3 Flintoff 0 trail by 180 runs.
John Turner comes into the Hampshire attack and strikes with his second ball, Bohannon lbw for 0.

11.57am WICKET
Lancashire 2nd inns (following-on) 6-1 Wells 3 Bohannon 0 trail by 183 runs.
Keaton Jennings goes, lbw to Mo Abbas for 1 as Hampshire make an early strike.

11.45am
Lancashire 2nd inns (following-on) 6-0 Wells 3 Jennings 1 trail by 183 runs.
Ben Brown is standing up Keaton Jennings is on strike to prevent the Red Rose skipper playing outside of his crease.

The Hampshire wicketkeeper is having a lively time of it with two pacey bowlers in operation.

11.23am
Lancashire 2nd inns (following-on) 2-0 Wells 0 Jennings 0 trail by 187 runs.
Hampshire open their attack as expected with Kyle Abbott and Muhammad Abbas sharing the new ball.

11.06am WICKET
Lancashire 1st inns 200 all out (77.3 overs) Bailey 7* trail by 189 runs.
It took just nine deliveries for the two wickets to fall this morning, Tom Aspinwall lbw for 0 to give Liam Dawson a five-wicket haul. He finished with 5 for 47.

Hampshire have enforced follow-on.

11.02am WICKET
Lancashire 1st inns 195-9 (76.2 overs) Bailey 6 Aspinwall 0 trail by 194 runs
Not the start wanted by Lancashire as George Bell chases a wide delivery from John Turner and nicks it behind to depart for 35.

9.30am
We have another sunny morning at Emirates Old Trafford ahead of the third day of our Vitality County Championship with Hampshire.

Lancashire are up against it, trailing by 196 runs with two first innings wickets remaining.

George Bell will resume on 33 not out alongside Tom Bailey on 6 not out with Lancashire 193 for eight from 76 overs.
