Arav Shetty signs two-year deal with Lancashire Cricket
Lancashire Cricket is delighted to announce that Arav Shetty has signed a two-year contract with the Club, extending his stay at Emirates Old Trafford following a highly promising short-term stint during the 2025 season.
The 21-year-old spin bowling all-rounder made impressive contributions with both bat and ball throughout his initial contract, which began at the start of the Metro Bank One-Day Cup in August.
In seven List A appearances for Lancashire, Shetty scored 168 runs at an average of 33.6, including a top score of 40, and also claimed 9 wickets with his right-arm off-breaks.
Shetty also featured in the first team’s limited-overs and red-ball programme, making his maiden First-Class appearance and taking a wicket, and gaining valuable experience across formats.

Shetty also featured in the Rothesay County Championship and Vitality Blast – at Finals Day – during September, picking up a wicket on his First-Class debut.
Across 53 matches for Lancashire’s Second XI, Shetty has scored 1,546 runs at an average of 32 and he has taken 45 wickets with his off breaks at an average of 31.
He also became the first graduate of the South Asian Cricket Academy (SACA) to sign for Lancashire when he put pen-to-paper last summer.
Speaking about his two-year contract, Arav Shetty said: “I’m really happy to commit my future to Lancashire, the club I grew up representing as a junior.
“It hasn’t been a straightforward path to reach this point after leaving the academy at 18 and heading to university. Thanks to SACA, I was able to find my way back and I’ve loved every minute in the dressing room and on the pitch since returning to Emirates Old Trafford in the senior set-up this year.
“The support from the coaches, players, and members has been terrific, and I’m excited to give everything I can to help the club be successful.”

Lancashire’s Head Coach Steven Croft also commented: “Arav has shown real growth in the season just gone, firstly with his performances for our Second XI, and for SACA, before settling well into the First Team environment.
“His all-round abilities with the bat and his off breaks have added further depth to our squad.
“We’re delighted to secure him on a longer-term deal and look forward to working with him to develop further with the Red Rose.”
