James Anderson returns to the attack as Lancashire try to wrap up the Kent innings.
Chris Green came close to a wicket, getting a hand to a diving attempt off his own bowling as Wes Agar drove fiercely but the ball didn't stick.

Mitch Stanley takes his maiden wicket in first-class cricket as Grant Stewart on 2 gets a leading edge and pops up a gentle catch to Josh Bohannon. 
That is the end of the bonus points in this innings with Lancashire taking 2 points and Kent also getting 2 points.

Ben Compton's fine efforts is ended on 135 after the opener edges behind off Chris Green. Just like the start of the morning, Lancashire have two early wickets in this session.

Harry Finch on 52 has a nibble at a ball outside off stump from George Balderson and gets a nick through to Matty Hurst. A much needed breakthrough for Lancashire that ends a 95-run partnership off one ball short of 43 overs.

Harry Finch goes to a hard-fought fifty, his second of the season, from 123 balls with 6 fours.

Harry Finch has come out after lunch showing some intent hitting 12 of the 13 runs from the last over from Mitch Stanley, and he has quickly moved along to 47

It has been slow going this morning with Kent adding 66 runs off 33.2 overs, Ben Compton standing rock-like and well supported by Harry Finch.

Twenty minutes remain before lunch and Ben Compton and Harry Finch have dug in somewhat to fend off James Anderson and Tom Bailey with the new ball. 
Compton pulls for two that brings up the 50 partnership off 25.1 overs.

James Anderson takes the new ball as soon as it becomes available and brings himself back on at the North End.

We are about to see some spin for the first time today with Chris Green coming on at the North End and Luke Wells at the South End.

Ben Compton cuts Mitch Stanley for the second boundary of the day to go to his century off 201 balls with 1 six and 12 fours.

James Anderson takes himself out of the attack after a morning spell of 5-3-3-2 and is replaced by Mitch Stanley who is bowling to a ring of fielders saving the single and with no slip. His first over is a maiden. 

Lancashire applying good pressure.

Ben Compton's drive for four off the first ball of the day remains the only boundary struck so far this morning as Kent are finding runs hard to come by. 
Tom Bailey replaces George Balderson at the South End, the first change of bowling so far on day two.

That is quite incredible. 
Joey Evison plays exactly the same shot to the one by Jack Leaning and with the same result - caught at short midwicket by Josh Bohannon off James Anderson who is working his magic this morning with two early wickets.

What a start to the day!
Ben Compton drives the first ball for four as George Balderson completes the two balls left from his interrupted over on day one.

Then James Anderson takes a wicket with his first ball after Jack Leaning drives to Josh Bohannon at short mid-wicket for 4.

The early finish yesterday means we will be playing a minimum of 104.2 overs with play starting at 11am, Lunch at 1.10pm and Tea at 4pm.
