3.40pm, RAIN DELAY
Lancashire 1st inns 61-3 (31 overs) Harris 19 Hurst 13
Tea is being taken but little has changed out on the pitch where the steady drizzle continues to fall and, at present, shows little sign of abating.

3.00pm, RAIN DELAY
Lancashire 1st inns 61-3 (31 overs) Harris 19 Hurst 13
The rain has continued to fall steadily for the last hour with no sign of a break in the clouds. Looks like we will be staying off for some time.

1.50pm, RAIN DELAY
Lancashire 1st inns 61-3 (31 overs) Harris 19 Hurst 13
The groundstaff are now adding more covers to the surrounds, so it looks like this delay will be a bit lengthier than was originally expected.

1.40pm, RAIN DELAY
Lancashire 1st inns 61-3 (31 overs) Harris 19 Hurst 13
Just as play was about to resume, a light shower has forced the hover cover to be fired up and put over the wicket. No other covers have been added so far suggesting the groundstaff feel it might be a short delay.

1.00pm, LUNCH Day 1
Lancashire 1st inns 61-3 (31 overs) Harris 19 Hurst 13
I think Matty Hurst will have enjoyed that last shot, a nicely punched drive for four off Ben Green in the last over before lunch.

These have been difficult batting conditions this morning, and Leicestershire will maybe reflect they should have had more than three wickets in that session with Hurst dropped twice.

12.35pm
Lancashire 1st inns 48-3 (24 overs) Harris 16 Hurst 3
Another chance goes begging for Leicestershire as Rehan Ahmed drops Matty Hurst at third slip from a fairly straightforward edge off Ben Mike.

These are testing conditions with the ball continuing to seam around.

12.30pm
Lancashire 1st inns 47-3 (23 overs) Harris 15 Hurst 3
Matty Hurst survives a chance when on 1, Ben Cox diving to his right but unable to cling onto a low edge by Hurst off Tom Scriven

12.23pm WICKET
Lancashire 1st inns 44-3 (21.4 overs) Harris 15 Hurst 0
Josh Bohannon on 8 flicks a leg glance at a wide delivery from Ben Mike, the fourth of his opening over, and gets a faint edge that is taken by a diving Ben Cox behind the stumps.

12.00pm
Lancashire 1st inns 36-2 (17 overs) Bohannon 8 Harris 8
Josh Bohannon and Marcus Harris have dug in somewhat but Bohannon has broken the shackles a bit with a straight drive off Ben Green for four and Harris follows with a flicked four through square leg in Tom Scriven's opening over.

11.34am WICKET
Lancashire 1st inns 19-2 (8.2 overs) Bohannon 0 Harris 0
Ian Holland strikes again, finding the edge with Keaton Jennings caught by Lewis Hill at first slip for 9.

The ball is nibbling around and giving the bowlers a bit of assistance.

11.26am WICKET
Lancashire 1st inns 18-1 (7 overs) Jennings 8 Bohannon 0
Michael Jones is beaten on the inside the edge and bowled for 10 after Ian Holland nips one back.

11.10am
Lancashire 1st inns 4-0 (2 overs) Jones 4 Jennings 0
Leicestershire opening their attack with Ian Holland and Logan van Beek. Just the one scoring shot so far, Michael Jones straight driving Holland for four.

10.30am
