Tom Bailey strikes again in the third over of the last 16 by bowling Luke Hollman for 33.

Tom Bailey and Arav Shetty continue to hunt for another wicket. 
It has got darker once more in the last few minutes with the umpires taking regular readings from their light meter.

A lovely moment for Arav Shetty as he bowls Leus du Plooy for 5! 

Du Plooy was dragged forward and beaten between bat and pad from a ball that turned just enough.

We have spin at both ends now and would you beleive it Tom Bailey picks up a wicket with his first ball of spin!
Sam Robson pushes forward and is snapped up at short leg by George Bell for 21.

It is getting quite gloomy once more with the floodlights back on, and we now have spin for the first time in this innings with Arav Shetty coming on.

The final home session of the season commences with Lancashire facing the tall order of taking nine wickets. It is a shame so much time has been lost as this game could have been a really good contest on this wicket.

Middlesex reach tea without further damage but with still some work to do to after the break to ensure the draw.

Tom Bailey makes the breakthrough with his 500th wicket for Lancashire in all formats when he traps Josh de Caires lbw for 15!

No Jimmy Anderson as Lancashire take the field, so Tom Bailey and Tom Aspinwall are the new ball attack for this innings.

George Balderson has smashes two sixes and a four off Seb Morgan before Lancashire declare with a lead of 164 runs with a minimum of 50 overs left in this match.

Michael Jones is caught at deep point after making 33 off 35 balls including 1 six and 2 fours as the runs continue to flow.

Matty Hurst has hit further sixes off Gohar and Higgins to race to his fifty from 54 balls as Lancashire pile on the runs!

Matty Hurst is going on the attack now with Zafar Gohar hit for a straight six into the Media Centre wall.

Back after lunch with a wicket as George Bell tries to work Ryan Higgins to leg and is lbw for 17.

George Bell on drives Zeb Morgan for a lovely four in the run up to lunch with the floodlights now switched off although it remains quite cloudy.

That is a great delivery by Seb Morgan who uproots Keaton Jennings' leg stump with the opener gone for 61 and we have two new batters at the crease.

Josh Bohannon's fabulous innings comes to an end as he is bowled aiming to slog Toby Roland-Jones somewhere into the housing estate behind the ground. 

Bohannon made 87 off 69 balls with 2 sixes and 14 fours!

The 100 partnership between Jennings and Bohannon has come from 99 balls, Bohannon scoring 74 of them and he pulls Morgan for four more to take Lancashire ahead.

Josh Bohannon cuts and gets a thick edge for four to third man off Gohar to reach 6,000 first-class runs and post the Lancashire 200. He then hits Gohar for a straight six. Terrific batting!

This is scintillating stuff from Josh Bohannon who pulls Brookes for a huge six over midwicket followed by a pulled four to backward square leg.

That's Bohannon's fifty from 48 balls, with 1 six and 9 fours. It is also Josh's fastest-ever first-class half century!

Twelve runs were taken from the Henry Brookes opening over and Keaton Jennings - playing his 200th first-class game - now gets a single off Zafar Gohar's first delivery to reach his fifty off 106 balls inc 6 fours!

Josh Bohannon and Keaton Jennings making good progress as play continues under the floodlights. The overhead conditions have brightened a bit in the last 15 minutes.

Josh Bohannon has driven both Toby Roland-Jones and Ryan Higgins authoritatively for four to the midwicket boundary in the last two overs to make a good start to his innings.

The weather has got increasingly gloomy and the floodlights are now on.

Much better news as sunshine breaks out and the groundstaff remove the covers. The umpires are currently inspecting conditions.

Sadly, the groundstaff have been forced to put the covers back on as it has begun to drizzle steadily.

Good morning from Emirates Old Trafford ahead of the final home match day of 2025.

Hopefully play will get under way at 10.30am. Currently conditions are dry, but there is plenty of cloud cover.
