Chris Green is taking all the plaudits after taking 6-82 from a marathon 34 overs to help put Lancashire in a strong position after the opening day of this match.

Lancashire have taken the new ball but Mason Crane and James Harris survived to add 25 runs although Harris was dropped on 8 by a diving Phil Salt off Tom Bailey.
It doesn't matter too much as Tom Hartley returns and bowls Harris for 11 with the fifth delivery of his new spell.

And it's Chris Green again who is in career-best territory having taken a sixth wicket with Chris Cooke a mile out of his ground when stumped for 6.
Green's CB is 6-83 for New South Wales v W.Australia last year. He now has 6-74 in this game.

Chris Green has his third five-wicket haul in first-class cricket!
The Australian all-rounder has 5-74 and the big wicket of Kiran Carlson caught at slip by Luke Wells for 77 as Lancashire continue to work their way through the Glamorgan batting.

Kiran Carlson is playing a a great knock for his side, swinging George Balderson over backward square leg for four and then cleverly cutting for four more wide of third man.

Kiran Carlson and Colin Ingram are building a good partnership, now worth 65 runs, following the two wickets that fell in quick succession after lunch.
James Anderson has brought himself back on at the Brian Statham End while Chris Green continues at the other end.

Kiran Carlson and Colin Ingram have taken a positive, attacking approach since the fall of the last wicket, adding 45 at a run per ball.
It has been a good counter attack with both Chris Green and Tom Hartley finding some appreciable spin.

Glamorgan will be pleased with their progress this morning while Lancashire, I suspect, will feel they have been a bit unlucky not to have more than the one wicket after producing a pretty good effort with the ball.
Asa Tribe has batted nicely reaching his fifty from 87 balls just before the break.

Good morning from Emirates Old Trafford where the covers have just been removed and we expect play to start on time at 11am.
The groundstaff are mopping up the outfield after some light rain earlier this morning but the ground conditions are good although it remains overcast overhead.
