Six overs to go today and the light is closing in a bit but we should get through with the help of the floodlights.

No further wickets or incidents to report as the Glamorgan push the lead steadily on past 200.

Mason Crane is having some afternoon! The leg spinner takes a smart catch off his own bowling when Chris Green drives firmly back up the wicket and is out for 2.

Mason Crane has a wicket after Marcus Harris on 30 mishits a full toss that is caught at mid-on by Ben Kellaway. He won't want to see that shot again!

Matty Hurst gets off the mark in style by hitting his 13th ball faced for a straight six off spinner Ben Kellaway.

Meanwhile Marcus Harris has hit 4 fours, three of them off Kellaway to keep the scoreboard moving along.

Josh Bohannon hits a 3 off the last ball of the delayed morning session and Lancashire will be reasonably pleased with how that first session has played out.

That is a great reflex catch at short leg by Asa Tribe who makes a superb one-handed grab to dismiss Keaton Jennings for 28 off spinner Ben Kelleway.

Two thumping drives by Keaton Jennings off James Harris has pushed the score along quickly.

The overcast weather has now been replaced by sunny conditions.

The light rain has stopped and the covers are being taken off but we will have a delayed start today.

Once the covers are removed the umpires will make an inspection.

The earlier sunny, dry conditions have been replaced by some light drizzle thirty minutes before play was due to start.

Initially the rain was not very heavy with the players continuing their warm up routines, but the drizzle has now intensified and the covers have been put back on..

We have sunny,dry conditions at Emirates Old Trafford ahead of day two in the Rothesay County Championship with Glamorgan.

Our visitors will resume their first innings on 260-8 with Mason Crane on 9 and Ned Leonard on 4 when play gets underway at 11am.
