Rothesay County Championship and Metro Bank One Day Cup fixtures announced for 2026

Lancashire Cricket is delighted to confirm the full list of fixtures for the 2026 Rothesay County Championship and Metro Bank One Day Cup men’s and women’s competitions.

The announcements follows Tuesday’s Vitality Blast fixtures being released, which can be viewed here.

Lancashire’s County Championship campaign begins Friday 3 April with an away trip to Northamptonshire at The County Ground. The Red Rose will host their first home fixture a week later at Emirates Old Trafford, facing Derbyshire on Friday 10 April.

The Championship schedule includes home out ground fixtures at Southport in May and Blackpool in June - in addition to trips to Chesterfield to face Derbyshire and Merchant Taylors’ School to take on Middlesex - before concluding the season back at Emirates Old Trafford against Durham on Thursday 24 September.

Full 2026 Men's fixture list

Lancashire Women begin their Metro Bank One-Day Cup title defence on Saturday 11 April, travelling to Banks Homes Riverside to face Durham. Their first home fixture of the 2026 season comes a week later against Somerset at Emirates Old Trafford.

Lancashire will play six home matches at Emirates Old Trafford – with a first-ever professional Roses clash against Yorkshire scheduled for Emirates Old Trafford on Saturday 25 April.

The group stage will conclude away to Yorkshire on Saturday 12 September, before the semi-finals on Wednesday 16 September and the final at the Utilita Bowl on Saturday 19 September.

Emirates Old Trafford will also host the Women’s Vitality T20 County Cup Finals Day as Lancashire Thunder will look to defend their title on home turf on Saturday 29 August.

Full 2026 Women's Fixture List

The Men’s Metro Bank One-Day Cup competition begins on Tuesday 21 July, with Lancashire hosting Surrey in Sedbergh. Unlike in previous seasons, there will be no National Counties Showcase Fixture prior to the start of the competition.

The venue for the Club’s home matches against Kent Spitfires and Notts Outlaws on Tuesday 28 and Thursday 30 July is still to be confirmed. It is the Club’s intention to host these matches at Farington, but this will depend on progression of the pitch and outfield during the coming months.

Once a venue has been confirmed, ticket sales for those two matches will commence.

Knockout rounds are scheduled for mid-August, with two quarter-finals on Friday 14 August, semi-finals on Sunday 16 August, and the final to be held at Trent Bridge on Sunday 20 September.

Tickets for all home fixtures across all formats — including matches at Emirates Old Trafford, Southport, Blackpool, and Sedbergh — are now available for 2026 Members to book.

As stated above, the two remaining Metro Bank One-Day Cup matches will go on general sale once the venue can be confirmed.
