Squad named for County Championship clash with Gloucestershire

Read the latest squad news ahead of Lancashire Men's return to Rothesay County Championship action against Gloucestershire in Cheltenham

Interim Men's Head Coach Steven Croft has named a 14-man squad ahead of Lancashire's return to Rothesay County Championship action against Gloucestershire, which starts tomorrow at Cheltenham College.

Australian top order batter Marcus Harris is available again and returns to the matchday squad after missing the last two rounds of County Championship matches due to paternity leave.

James Anderson will remain as captain of the side after he oversaw a draw against Kent and a victory away to Derbyshire during the last round of red-ball matches in June.

Wicket keeper batter Phil Salt has also been included in the squad and is set to play his first red-ball match of the season, as Lancashire bid for successive wins in the Championship.

Lancashire head into the fixture 24 points - the equivalent of a maximum-point win - behind second-placed Derbyshire with five matches remaining in the summer.

Lancashire Men's squad to face Gloucestershire:

James Anderson (c), Tom Bailey, George Balderson, Jack Blatherwick, Josh Bohannon, Chris Green, Marcus Harris, Tom Hartley, Matty Hurst, Keaton Jennings, Michael Jones, Phil Salt, Luke Wells, Will Williams

How to follow:

The match will be broadcast live by our hosts Gloucestershire CCC, with ball-by-ball radio commentary from Cheltenham provided by BBC Radio Lancashire's Scott Read on the BBC Sport website and app.

For those unable to follow the action live, there will be regular updates on the Club's social media channels and Match Centre, with highlights also posted on LancsTV.
