Squad named to face Derbyshire Falcons as Saqib Mahmood returns

Read the latest squad news ahead of Lancashire Lightning's Vitality Blast North Group fixture away to Derbyshire Falcons on Friday evening (7.00pm).

Saqib Mahmood returns to Interim Head Coach Steven Croft's 14-man squad to take on the Falcons on Friday evening, following Mahmood's involvement in England's recent white-ball squads against West Indies, while Ollie Sutton has also been included in the squad.

James Anderson has been rested ahead of Lancashire's two upcoming matches in the Rothesay County Championship, the first of which starts against Kent at Blackpool on Sunday.

Tom Aspinwall misses out due to a side injury sustained during last Friday's win at Worcestershire Rapids. Lancashire are also without Jos Buttler (rest) and Phil Salt (paternity leave).

Lightning (3rd) are coming into this fixture with four wins from six North Group matches. Derbyshire Falcons (9th), meanwhile, have won two from seven so far.
