Women’s Academy set for historic trip to Mumbai
Lancashire Women’s Academy are heading to India for an historic pre-season training camp – presented by SportsBreaks and Inspiresport.
13 Academy players will be joined in Mumbai by six coaching staff– including first team player Eve Jones – for the 10-day camp which is a first trip of this nature for Lancashire Women’s Academy.
The squad will be based at MIG Cricket Club in Mumbai where they will train and stay from 20th February to 2nd March, with the facilities previously used by Lancashire Women on their own pre-season tour back in 2023.
In addition to training, the squad will play four T20 matches and two 50-over matches against local opposition while the trip will also include an excursion to visit the Railway Children Charity.
The training camp is being supported by SportsBreaks and Inspiresport as part of their commitment to providing additional funding to support women’s cricket at all levels in the North West. The investment has previously seen Lancashire Women head to Mumbai for a spin bowling camp.
