Player Profile

All-rounder Daisy Mullan signed her maiden professional contract with Thunder ahead of 2023, going on to make three appearances in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy.

Mullan, 21-years-old and the future of this region, progressed through the Lancashire age-groups to make her senior debut for the county in September 2020. She has a top score of 47 in eight appearances for the Red Rose to date.

In 2019, she became only the third woman to play first-team cricket for a Bolton League side when, in 2019, she played in a National Knockout game for Bradshaw - her home club.

She has also played for Leigh women and was a goalkeeper for Bury FC before prioritising cricket.

Mullan has batted in the top and middle order, and she also played her county cricket for Cumbria at the start of the 2022 as the Thunder players were spread around teams such as Lancashire, Cumbria and the Northern Representative XI to increase playing opportunities.

While she has had more success with the bat throughout her career, she is also a useful seam bowler.

In 2017, she scored a superb unbeaten 104 for Lancashire Under 15s in a 40-over win over Cheshire at Eccles - she batted at three in that game.

In all cricket, including friendlies, Mullan, who has impressed for Thunder’s Academy, has played 30 times for Thunder’s senior team since debuting midway through 2021, with bests of 27 and 1-24 to her name.

She also made her debut for the Manchester Originals in the 2022 Hundred, making nine from number six in a defeat to champions elect Oval Invincibles at Emirates Old Trafford.

In 2023, she scored a pair of half-centuries, including an 80, for Thunder Academy. That came after claiming 3-37 for Lancashire in a county T20 clash away at Scotland.
