Player Profile

Ajeet Singh Dale has joined Lancashire after impressing over the last few years with Gloucestershire.

A fast bowler who was much sought after, with a host of counties chasing his signature over the winter, he has chosen the Red Rose and has grand ambitions.

He played a small part in Gloucestershire’s Vitality Blast title-triumph in 2024 and wants more in Red Rose colours.

The Slough-born speedster has also got his eyes on an England call-up after exposure with the England Lions in both 2024 and 2025. He has previously worked with Steven Croft in that environment.

Singh Dale made his senior debut for Hampshire during the Covid summer of 2020 before a move to the West Country not long after -  at the end of 2021 to be precise.

Since then, he has been one of their most potent weapons, particularly in red-ball cricket.

A bowler with good pace and skill, Singh Dale has a career best of 7-110 to his name, achieved in a Rothesay County Championship win at home to Kent back in May, 2025.

He also impressed in a high-scoring draw against Lancashire at Emirates Old Trafford during the first half of the summer, sowing the seeds for his move to the North West. He claimed five wickets in the match - three in the first innings and two in the second. He removed captain Keaton Jennings in both innings and bowled Marcus Harris in the first, ending the Australian’s superb 167 with the help of a chop on.

Singh Dale previously played second-team cricket for both Hampshire and Surrey and now has almost 150 senior wickets to his name across the formats, including 102 in 40 first-class matches.

He claimed 41 of those first-class wickets in an encouraging 2025.

Aged 25, Singh Dale - fingers crossed - has his best years ahead of him

He had a conversation with Sir James Anderson about the direction of the county before putting pen to paper, and it was certainly a significant factor in him choosing Lancashire.

The right-armer has also enjoyed a brief taste of life in the Hundred. In 2025, he struck twice for Welsh Fire, including getting Liam Livingstone out.
