Development Update
Keep up-to-date with the latest development at Emirates Old Trafford, home of Lancashire Cricket.
Last summer, the Club received the green light from Trafford Council for a new venue redevelopment project to take place. The first phase of this exciting project will start with the demolition process of the Red Rose building, along with a small section of nearby Stand A and Stand B. The demolition is expected to be complete in March 2022.
Included within the Club’s plans is a significant expansion of the existing Hilton Garden Inn Hotel, replacing the Red Rose Suite, with the extension situated within the stadium footprint. This includes provision of a further 100 bedrooms, taking the total hotel capacity to 250 on-site.
The proposal also includes a new 1,000 capacity stand which will provide enhanced pitch-viewing facilities, including an elevated dual-aspect suite located within the spectator viewing terrace. As well as the enhanced viewing facilities, the development will include a new heritage centre, guest services hub, and an outward-facing retail store, which will face directly on to Brian Statham Way.
