During the historic Thunder and Lightning pre-season tour of Dubai, Lancashire's men's squad and Thunder took a guided tour around the Emirates Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai to discover the future of aviation.
Emirates - Lancashire's Principle Partner since 2013 - feature a number of digital stations inside their Pavilion that connects visitors to Expo 2020 Dubai with 10 installations that appeal to all senses and thought-provoking experiences.
Red Rose players designed their own aircrafts and explored the cabin interiors of the future via VR headsets, while others experimented with aircraft materials at the pavilion’s Future Labs exhibit.
The Expo 2020 Dubai is a celebration of the UAE by supporting the growth of tourism with the aim of enhancing the region’s international reputation as a location to do business.
After completing their tour of the Emirates Pavilion, players and coaching staff from both squads were involved in a coaching session and Q&A inside the Sports, Fitness and Wellbeing Hub based at the Expo.
Lancashire Cricket is currently embarked on the first joint men’s and women’s tour ever undertaken by a first-class county as both sides headed together to the UAE for a pre-season training camp last week.
