5.41pm MATCH DRAWN
Lancashire 351-9 lead by 83 runs, Bailey 8 Turner 5.
John Turner drives Saif Zaib for four and the players shake hands on the draw.

5.38pm
Lancashire 347-9 lead by 79 runs, Bailey 8 Turner 1 - minimum of 6 overs left.
Another maiden over goes by but we continue for now.

5.34pm
Lancashire 347-9 lead by 79 runs, Bailey 8 Turner 1 - minimum of 7 overs left.
A maiden over and the prospect of any possible Northants run chase is rapidly diminishing.

5.26pm
Lancashire 347-9 lead by 79 runs, Bailey 8 Turner 1 - minimum of 8 overs left.
Worth pointing out if this last wicket falls then 2 overs will be deducted for the change of innings.

5.21pm WICKET
Lancashire 346-9 lead by 78 runs, Bailey 8 Turner 0 - minimum of 10.2 overs left.
Now the game is on as Tom Hartley edges Calvin Harrison (7-118) to slip.

5.20pm
Lancashire 346-8 lead by 78 runs, Bailey 8 Hartley 1 - minimum of 11 overs left.
Just to add to the drama play continues under floodlights as conditions get  gloomier.

5.08pm WICKET
Lancashire 344-8 lead by 76 runs, Bailey 7 Hartley 0 - minimum of 14.3 overs left.
Luke Wells is caught at backward short leg for 39 to give Calvin Harrison a career-best 6-118.

5.02pm FINAL HOUR
Lancashire 341-7 lead by 73 runs, Wells 36 Bailey 7 - minimum of 16 overs left.
This has been a great effort by Luke Wells and Tom Bailey as we reach the last hour in which a minimum of 16 overs must be bowled.

The weather remains dull but dry.

4.26pm WICKET
Lancashire 324-7 lead by 56 runs, Wells 23 Bailey 0 - minimum of 25 overs left.
Calvin Harrison has a second first class five-wicket haul as George Balderson pops up a bat/pad catch to David sales at short leg for 7.

4.20pm
Lancashire 320-6 lead by 52 runs, Wells 23 Balderson 7 - minimum of 27 overs left.
Northants have gone with all spin attack since tea with fielders crowded around the bat but Luke Wells and George Balderson have stood firm so far.

3.40pm, TEA Day 4
Lancashire 303-6 lead by 35 runs, Wells 14 Balderson 0
This game is very much alive following Bohannon's unlucky dismissal with at least 33 overs left to be bowled (although 2 overs will be lost during any change of innings), and with the amount of spin in operation it seems likely a few more overs than the minimum will be bowled.

3.30pm WICKET
Lancashire 296-6 lead by 28 runs, Wells 7 Balderson 0
That is a very unfortunate way for Josh Bohannon to get out. He swept Saif Zaib hard but the ball hit the back of the fielder at short leg and rebounded to wicket Lewis McManus!

That ends a marathon time 7 hours, 20 minutes at the crease with Bohannon out for 155.

There are a minimum of 35 overs left.

3.10pm
Lancashire 288-5 lead by 20 runs, Bohannon 150 Wells 4
That is a fabulous effort by Josh Bohannon who reaches 150 for the 6th time in first-class cricket. He's been at the crease for 7 hours, 11 minutes and hit 17 fours from 322 balls.

2.49pm WICKET
Lancashire 276-5 lead by 8 runs, Bohannon 138 Wells 0
Calvin Harrison gets one to grip and it finds an edge off Matty Hurst that is nicely taken at slip by Ricardo Vasconcelos. Hurst out for 8 and this game still has 45 overs to go.

2.40pm
Lancashire 271-4 lead by 3 runs, Bohannon 138 Hurst 8

2.16pm
Lancashire 257-4 trail by 11 runs, Bohannon 126 Hurst 7
Matty Hurst uppercuts Raphy Weatherall to third man for four for his first boundary. Ricardo Vasconcelos at third man was interested in the catch for a moment but was too wide and unable to get that near in the end.
The scores are now nearly level as we approach the halfway stage of the day.

1.54pm WICKET
Lancashire 243-4 trail by 25 runs, Bohannon 119 Hurst 0
Marcus Harris looked set having reached his fifty from 94 balls but he's gone after flicking Calvin Harrison to short leg where James Sales takes a good low catch.

1.47pm
Lancashire 237-3 trail by 31 runs, Bohannon 119 Harris 45
Josh Bohannon is quickly into his stride after lunch, cutting Raphy Weatherall for four and then twice driving off the back foot through cover for two more boundaries in the same over.

1.00pm, LUNCH Day 4
Lancashire 221-3 trail by 47 runs, Bohannon 105 Harris 43
For the first time in this match Lancashire have had much the better of a session with just the one wicket of Anderson Phillip falling.

But there is still plenty to do to save this game.

12.57pm
Lancashire 218-3 trail by 50 runs, Bohannon 102 Harris 43

His hundred took 327 minutes and came off 256 balls with 11 fours.

12.35pm
Lancashire 197-3 trail by 71 runs, Bohannon 90 Harris 34
Marcus Harris has just timed to perfection a back foot square drive for four off Liam Guthrie.
And then follows that with a lofted drive high over the slips to the vacant third man boundary.

Lancashire progressing nicely this morning so far.

12.15pm NEW BALL TAKEN
Lancashire 174-3 trail by 94 runs, Bohannon 87 Harris 14
Liam Guthrie is handed the new ball and this next 45 minutes to lunch could well play a significant part in the game.

12.00pm
Lancashire 169-3 trail by 99 runs, Bohannon 84 Harris 13
Marcus Harris has a trio of boundaries to his name as Lancashire take the deficit down below 100.
Saif Zaib joins the attack from the Brian Statham end.
