Lancashire Cricket confirm 2026 Pre-Season Tours presented by Hilton
Lancashire Cricket have confirmed their 2026 pre-season tours, with the Club’s men’s and women’s squads set to travel overseas to Spain and South Africa as preparations step up for the new domestic campaign.
The tours, presented by long-standing Official Club Partner Hilton, will provide valuable warm-weather training sessions and competitive match practice ahead of the 2026 season.
Lancashire Women travel to Potchefstroom in South Africa today (16 March) until Monday 30 March, where they will take part in an outdoor training camp alongside a programme of competitive fixtures.
Following their arrival and initial training sessions, Lancashire will face local side North West Dragons in both T20 and 50-over cricket, before finishing the tour with two 50-over fixtures against Yorkshire.
Women’s Match Schedule (local start times):
- Thursday 19 March - T20 vs North West Dragons (14:00)
- Saturday 21 March - T20 vs North West Dragons (10:00)
- Saturday 21 March - T20 vs North West Dragons (14:30)
- Tuesday 24 March - 50-over match vs North West Dragons (10:00)
- Thursday 26 March - 50-over match vs Yorkshire (10:00)
- Saturday 28 March - 50-over match vs Yorkshire (10:00)

Alongside the fixtures, the squad will undertake daily training, conditioning work and recovery sessions, as Chris Read’s squad build up their match readiness ahead of the new campaign.
Meanwhile, Lancashire’s Men will travel to the leading warm-weather training complex in Southern Europe at Desert Springs in Spain from Friday 20 March until Friday 27 March.
The camp will focus on high-intensity training, intra-squad match play and scenario-based sessions, giving players the opportunity to build form and fitness in competitive environments before the men’s domestic season begins away at Northamptonshire in the Rothesay County Championship on Friday 3 April.
Desert Springs’ facilities, widely used by professional teams for pre-season preparation, will allow Lancashire’s coaching staff – led by Head Coach Steven Croft - to replicate outdoor match conditions with an 18-wicket square providing a world-class environment for high-level training.
The dual pre-season tours represent an important stage in Lancashire’s preparation, allowing both squads to combine warm-weather training with competitive cricket ahead of the upcoming season.
These tours follow the Club’s earlier announcement regarding the cancellation of planned pre-season trips to the UAE and India.
The Club would like to thank Hilton for once again being the presenting partner for this year’s pre-season tour, in addition to Destination Sport for their support across both trips.
